green envy

Top - Matalan (old)
Deck shoes - Sainsburys

Necklace - Topshop

Hello! I'm back! I've been so so busy again this past week. I have my last exam tomorrow afternoon (psychology) and I've been revising quite a bit over the past five days, so I decided to take a bit of a break this morning and then carry on this afternoon...
I've been absolutely adoring this weather, and I thought I'd better do a summer outfit post as it's meant to start getting cooler tomorrow. (booo) The mint green shorts are a new addition to my wardrobe from H&M and I love them! The coloured denim is perfect for summer and fits the pastel trend. I can see myself wearing these with tights too. They fit so well and are really comfortable to wear and they also come in bubblegum pink. I think they look really good with a baggy top tucked into them. I've had the top for about 2 or 3 years and I never really wore it a lot but I really like it now. I love the floral print on the front in the shape of the heart and it pretty much goes with any colour as there's lots of colours on the motif on the front. It's a really nice top for summer and is loose fitting so it's not too hot!
I bought another new pair of shoes on Thursday... (slaps hand) I went food shopping with my mum and nan and saw these in the clothes bit and I've been lusting after a pair of deck shoes for SO LONG. I adore the navy with the white, and they are so so comfortable, and I just love them! I wore them when I went to Birmingham for the day on Friday with a skirt. They pretty much go with everything in my wardrobe, and were only £10 from Sainsbury's, which is an utter bargain. They also come in red.
I have a little obsession/love affair with cross jewellery right now. I just can't get enough of it! I finally caved and bought the double cross ring from Mozzypop and a turquoise cross bracelet from Raspberry Grape, which I just love! Both pieces were under £4 and I adore them! Definitely check both sites out as they both have free UK delivery!
I don't know if you can see in the photo, but I've got my hair in a topknot bun! I watched this tutorial by Zoella, and decided to give it a go. It worked! With a lot of kirby grips and some hair spray, I managed to get my short locks into an up-do and I really love it!
I'm going to do another photo update post in the next few days and hopefully get back to blogging every day or every other day now! I can't wait for tomorrow to be over! We've had two BBQ's this weekend (first two of the year!) which was lovely. I got a bit burnt this weekend too... I put sun cream on, but in all the wrong places it seems! So I have red thighs and pink shoulders with very attractive tan lines.

Oops sorry I didn't realise how much I'd written! I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine and have a lovely week!

P.S. sorry the photo's aren't that great and you can't see my face, I've had to 'borrow' my mums Nikon camera as mine is still dead, and I don't know where her little one is. It's huge and I haven't yet worked out how to use self timer, so for the time being, expect mirror photos! :-) x

models own sophie's pink

Models Own, Sophie's Pink - £5, Boots.
Okay, so I guess this was partly sold on the fact that it's called 'Sophie's Pink'.I've had this for ages, so I thought it was time to do a post on it! I've said before, how much I love Models Own polishes, and this is another addition to my growing collection. It's part of Models Own's main collection of polishes, and I have a feeling its been around for some time.
Sophie's Pink is a beautiful medium pink with a blue undertone. It's nearing on the edge of almost being a hot pink, but isn't in your face at all. I love this, and I can see myself reaching for this a lot in the summer time when I want pink nails. It had a glossy cream finish, like most other Models Own polishes, and only needs one coat for full opacity, meaning it lasts up to four days without chipping.
I'm really pleased I bought this; I think Models Own polishes are excellent value at £5 each as you get a big bottle! It's a perfect bright colour to go with the sunny weather we're having!

Have you got this colour? What do you think?

empties box!

So I decided I had way too many beauty products (though I think I own a lot less than a lot of beauty bloggers!) So I had a bit of a crazy using up month so I could sort of justify buying new things and use up all the half full bottle I had lying around. Here's a little look at what I used up!
 VO5 High Volume Hairspray
Shockwaves boost it! Heat Defence Volume Mousse
Garnier Simply Essentials 2 in 1 make up remover
Superdrug Simply Pure Refreshing Toner*
MeMeMe Seventh Heaven Face Base (mini pot)
17 Solo Eye shadow in Diva
Barry M Lip Paint 147
 Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara
Mini No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara*
Full size No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara
 Vichy Firming face cream x2*
Avene Skin recovery creme*
Rimmel PRO super wear ultra shine top coat
Virgin Vie powder foundation

I'm genuinely quite pleased with how many products I've managed to 'hit pan'. (hate that expression.) Most of these things I'd never buy again, but some of them have become firm favourites and I will continue to repurchase.
The VO5 hairspray is my go to hairspray and a can lasts me about 4 months, and it's always on to for £4 in boots so I already have two more cans of this! The shockwaves mousse was more for when I had long hair but when I wore my hair wavy it sort of worked. I wouldn't repurchase this.
The Garnier Make up remover is so so good, and I've already got another bottle. Its an oil based eye make up remover so it takes off even waterproof eye make up, and doesn't require rubbing at the eyes. It's perfect for me. To be quite frank, the Superdrug toner was crap. It was so watery and I won't be purchasing it. It made my skin feel really oily and wet. I'm quite glad I got this for free with a voucher in a magazine!
The MeMeMe seventh heaven was the mini version that I bought off a blog sale, and it was nice to use, I just didn't find it worked for me. It was too watery and didn't hide my huge pores! I definitely wouldn't buy this again. I prefer my 17 primer and my POREfessional. The 17 eye shadow is so old. It's the old packaging. I used a little bit and it made my eyes go a bit gunky so that went in the bin! The Barry M lip paint technically didn't run out... It snapped off at the bottom about 4 days after I bought it, so I melted the leftover into a little pot so I could still use it. I will re-buy this shade as I love it so much, and it's more convenient to have in a bullet.
I finally have got my mascara stash down to three! The Rimmel lash accelerator is way past its use by date but it was nearly empty anyway. It did make my lashes grow quite a bit and was a great lengthening mascara. I might repurchase this, but it runs so easily and stains clothes so maybe not!? The No7 mascara are definitely going in my shopping basket when the No7 Vouchers are next out. It's a brilliant mascara and I just love it.
The Vichy and Avene creams were a little sample set that my nan got given from Boots and she passed them on to me. I used them up as my night creams to save my dry skin! The Vichy creams weren't so good, but the Avene cream was really good. It was nice and soothing to wear on my skin and I woke up with improved skin. I have another little tube of this. I'm not sure if I'd buy it, as I'm not sure how much it is! Possibly a re-purchase in the future.
The Rimmel top coat is my favourite top coat ever. I have another bottle of this already. It adds a beautiful shine to my nail polish and helps it to last a few more days. The Virgin Vie foundation is very old and it was time to throw it out! Its way too dark for me and I don't even know where I got it! It was probably my mums.

I'm going to be really British and say how gorgeous this weather is!? It's been 27 degrees today, it's just beautiful. And I only have one exam left which has left me in a very good mood! :-)

What products have you recently used up and want to repurchase?
